Every bullet casting setup requires five core components: a heat source (furnace or pot), a mold, a thermometer or temperature controller, a lead alloy supply, and personal protective equipment. For hand casting, a bottom-pour furnace ($100-200), quality mold ($30-80 per cavity), and a good thermometer are sufficient to start producing bullets.
As production volume increases, additional equipment becomes necessary. A sizing press and dies bring bullets to exact diameter specification.
